You might think that with this light-fogged view (scanning techniques have improved it quite dramatically!) and similar experiences in 1970 and at other times that I should have twigged my camera was not actually as light-tight as I imagined it should be, and that fogging was the result of walking around with the camera left open at the ready! It took me until March 1976 and witnessing the HERO (ex JOHN H. AMOS) sailing from Stockton before the penny finally dropped!
