The above is what I have in my personal records but when I turn to Bill Harvey's SAFMARINE history to complete the story, he indicates no change of flag at the time of sale to becoming MELTEM, followed in 1988 with a transfer to the Bermuda flag once more. Fire damage was suffered during repairs in August 1989 but it was not until September 1992 those repairs were completed. She survived less than a year before broken up at Alang with work commencing August 1993.

Who needs any excuse to reintroduce a view from the River Elbe in 1981?!
