She had just replaced the Liberty ship of the name broken up earlier that year.

Wigham Richardson, Wallsend-on-Tyne, ex Clan Fergusson-65. 1983 broken up.
(It has always intrigued me that this Tyne-built Clan and her sisters of the
CLAN F.. class were all disposed of within years of being built. This was
another vessel seen during my first visit to the Tyne in February 1961.)
