As I had seen this ship nearing completion during my first visit to the Tyne in February 1961 it was probably with some degree of excitement I saw her again on this occasion.


In dock. Would this be Gladstone Dock, where her
predecessor met her fate in 1953?

Later in the day, while still traipsing round the extensive Liverpool dock system (on foot, I might add!) she was to be seen on the move:
